Welcome to Kaeb Sales, Inc! We’re seeking a detail-oriented and creative Service Technician to join our team in Bad Axe, MI. In this role, you will play a vital link between us and our customers. The ideal candidate will develop relationships with our team and customers, pursue additional sales opportunities, and champion continuous improvement. We are a family-owned business that has provided innovative milking and manure handling solutions within the dairy industry since 1989. We currently operate out of eight offices across five midwestern states and maintain a tight-knit team.
We offer competitive hourly wages ranging from $20 – 24 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include 401(k) with company match, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, volunteer time off, overtime pay, and bonus opportunities.
What you will be doing:
- Install and service various farm barn and manure equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs
- Provide after-hours support and communication to customers
- Maintain and operate work vehicle
- Drive to customer sites to perform necessary work
- Maintain a clean workspace and shop
- Be available for on-call shifts per the assigned schedule
What we’re looking for:
- Understanding of over-all farm procedure
- General knowledge of dairy production systems and processes (alley scrapers, barn fans, pumps, agitators, waters, manure tanks etc.)
- Fabrication and welding – will train (TIG, MIG, stick)
- Ability to read and understand prints, diagrams, manufacturing packets, and manuals
- Ability to read and comprehend various prints and schematics (electrical and plumbing)
Other qualifications:
- Agricultural background and/or knowledge
- Ability to maintain and/or change focus in fast-paced, time-sensitive projects
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Broad mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and in a team

You will be responsible for troubleshooting, modifying, installing dairy equipment, and refrigeration systems. Flexibility is a must in our high-demand, ever-changing industry.
We are a family-owned business that has provided innovative milking and manure handling solutions within the dairy industry since 1989. We currently operate out of eight offices across five midwestern states, and maintain a small, tight-knit team.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our growing automation team. You will be responsible for building, wiring, troubleshooting, modifying, and installing controls systems within the agriculture sector -especially dairy equipment and automation. - Basic understanding of HMI programming software (C-more)
- Ability to wire, troubleshoot, understand, and repair 3 Phase 480VAC systems, 24VDC and 120VAC control systems, motor control circuits, and various analog sensors (pressure, temperature, etc.)
- Ability to wire and program VFDs
- Ability to use a DMM
- Ability to properly size wire and circuit protection
- Ability to read and comprehend various prints and schematics (electrical, pneumatic)

In this role, you will work remotely on the road supporting customers by troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and fabricating refrigeration systems, milking robots, and manure equipment for dairy farms.
